About GillianGillian Power is a professional musician from Meath who completed her MA in Community Music in the University of Limerick (2014). Gillian has undertaken extensive music training with a Diploma in Music Management and Production, a Higher Diploma in Irish Traditional Music Performance, and a BA (Hons) Applied Music (specialising in solo performance) from Dundalk Institute of Technology. As a performer, Gillian has extensive experience as a soloist and with a variety of groups and ensembles including the DkIT Ceol Oirghialla Traditional Music Ensemble and as part of the choir for the 2016 Peace Proms. From 2014 to 2015, Gillian has been working abroad teaching music, designing lessons for over 600 children a week, as well as coordinating multiple concerts and events. With this experience, Gillian hopes to expand on her passion for teaching and inspiring others through this delicate art form.
